Untitled Document The CAN Board of Directors have made the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming 2020 CAN Connect conference scheduled for September 13-16. With the continued COVID-19 advice regarding social distancing, unpredictable future outbreaks, ongoing company travel restrictions and the financial impact on our members’ businesses, we feel this is the best decision for our members and the association.

We appreciate your continued support of the association during this challenging time. The CAN Connect event provides an unequaled value and opportunity to get business done in a very productive environment. We look forward to hosting the 46th annual 2021 CAN Connect conference scheduled for September 12-15 in Frisco, Texas.The Board of Directors will be developing other value-added programs to aid and assist members' business goals in today’s very difficult environment.

CAN Connect is an exclusive networking opportunity to meet in a private business environment to present, discuss, and negotiate sales and marketing policies and programs. This event is unlike any other sales or trade show event. Each manufacturer hosts a private meeting room over the four-day event to network with today’s leading resellers, retailers, sales reps, service providers, and media. Primary meeting schedules are published six weeks in advance to allow preparation time for each 30-minute meeting.

The U.S. Congress recently passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to assist business owners with whatever needs they have right now. Part of the CARES Act is the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and it authorizes up to $349 billion in forgivable loans to small businesses to pay their employees, mortgage interest, rent and utilities during this crisis.
 
If your U.S. business needs financial assistance, small businesses and sole proprietorships can start applying for these loans this Friday, April 3, 2020. Starting April 10, 2020, independent contractors and self-employed individuals can apply. Due to the funding cap, it is recommended businesses affected by COVID-19 apply quickly.

For our Canadian members, the Government of Canada has put several immediate and significant measures in place for employees and businesses. We will follow up with more information once the details on the wage subsidy are finished. Why Should I Attend?

2021 CAN Connect registration fees are fully refundable through August 2. Cancellations received after August 2 will be assessed the following fees:
- Company Cancellation - no refund on any delegate registration fees
- Delegate Cancellation - full registration fee will be refunded less $100
- No-show meeting (resellers) $50 per meeting
